Online Quran Classes in Oman
Learn Quran Global teaches families across Oman through live one-to-one classes — students in Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Nizwa, and Sur study with us. Oman has large Bangladeshi, Indian, and Pakistani communities, and many of the families we teach have children in private schools following a curriculum other than the national one. Lessons are private, on Zoom or Google Meet.
Time-zone friendly scheduling
Oman is UTC+4, the same as the UAE, and our teachers are in Pakistan at UTC+5 — a difference of just one hour. Neither country observes daylight saving, so that never changes.
That single hour makes Oman one of the easiest markets we teach into. A 4:00pm class in Muscat is 5:00pm in Pakistan; an 8:00pm class is 9:00pm. Neither side is stretching to an awkward hour, and there is nothing to recalculate twice a year.
Oman's week runs Sunday to Thursday with a Friday-Saturday weekend — unlike the UAE, which shares Oman's time zone but moved to a Saturday-Sunday weekend in 2022. School days finish in the early to mid afternoon, making late-afternoon and evening classes the usual arrangement.
During Ramadan, working and school hours are reduced across Oman. Classes continue on the same schedule, and your usual slot can be moved for that month by arranging it with your teacher.
Quran classes for kids
Children can start from around age four. Islamic studies is part of Oman's national curriculum, but children in Indian, Pakistani, or British private schools follow a different syllabus, so Quran study is usually arranged at home.
Students learn Quran reading through Noorani Qaida, then Tajweed, with memorisation of short Surahs alongside. Teachers are fluent in English, Urdu, and Arabic, so lessons can be explained in whichever of those a child is most comfortable with.
Because classes are one-to-one, a child who has studied before and one starting from the very beginning are each taught from where they actually are. The teacher establishes that in the free trial rather than assuming it from age.
One-to-one live classes
Students receive direct teacher attention for Quran reading, Tajweed, Noorani Qaida, Hifz, and revision.
Female Quran teachers
Female teachers are available for women, girls, and younger children. Ustadha Fatima Ahmed and Ustadha Aisha Rahman teach female students — mention this when you book your trial.

Are online Quran classes available in Oman?
Yes. Students join from Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Nizwa, Sur, and elsewhere in Oman. All you need is a device and an internet connection.
What is the time difference between Oman and Pakistan?
One hour. Oman is UTC+4 and Pakistan is UTC+5, and neither observes daylight saving, so the gap never changes. A 4:00pm class in Muscat is 5:00pm for your teacher.
When is the weekend in Oman?
Friday and Saturday. Oman shares a time zone with the UAE but not its weekend — the UAE moved to Saturday-Sunday in 2022, while Oman kept Friday-Saturday. Both days are available for weekend classes.
What times are classes available?
Any time — classes run 24 hours a day. Because the difference with Pakistan is only one hour, after-school and evening slots are comfortable for teacher and student alike.
How do families in Oman pay?
Fees are charged in US dollars. Credit card, debit card, Stripe, and bank transfer are accepted. The trial class is free and requires no card details.
